Route of the Sun (Cusco-Puno)

1.- Cusco – Bus Station (3350 masl): Departure time: 7:15 AM

2.- Colonial Temple of Andahuaylillas (3122 masl):

Where you will visit the Temple of San Pedro Apostle, inside you will find walls and ceilings with admirable frescoes and paintings bathed in GOLD.
Guided Time: 35 minutes approx.

3.-Raqchi – Temple of Wiracocha (3450 masl):

The most important structure of the archaeological site of Raqchi is the Temple of Wiracocha, a huge two-story rectangular structure measuring 92 meters long by 25.5 meters wide and approximately 9.80 meters high. Its central wall is made of finely carved stones. The base is approximately 3 meters high made of adobe (sun-dried bricks of earth and straw), the walls are 1.65 meters thick at the base and 1.30 meters thick at the top. Approximately at the top.
Guiding time: 35 minutes approx.

4.-Sicuani – Buffet Lunch – Country Restaurant (3552 masl):

Visit time: 12:10 PM
Time: 1 hour approx. for the Buffet Lunch.

5.- La Raya (4335 masl)

It is the highest point of this trip.
Guided Time: 15 minutes to take pictures.

6.- Pukara Museum (3900 masl)

It is the most important Ceremonial Center of the Altiplano. In the museum you can discover the origin of the Pucara culture through sculptures and stone ceramics.
Guided tour: 25 minutes approx.

7.- Puno – Bus Station (3800 m.a.s.l.)

17:00 arrival to Puno.
